This tool has been tested extensively in Firefox and Chrome web browsers, but should work in any browser.

We recommend that you run this skills inventory in a 'private' or 'incognito' session. Imagine you are moving to a new place and you have things that must get done by certain dates. You are busy with school and a part time job so you can only get to one task per day. Today is the 10th day of the month and your move in date is the 1st of next month. You need to create a to do list and add the items to your calendar to keep you on track.

Interesting facts about online shopping in Canada

In 2011 Canadians spent $6.6 billion on online purchases. Five years later in 2016 the amount tripled, hitting $19.2 billion. You can expect this online spending to increase year after year based on this trend.

62% of Canadians would rather do their shopping with Canadian retailers instead of U.S. retailers. The current limited number of Canadian online retailers to choose from presents a challenge to buy Canadian.

Online shopping provides a level of convenience that some in-person stores can’t, but it is not a 100% replacement for person to person service. Online retailers will need to have an option for shoppers to contact customer support to encourage more shoppers to buy from their online stores.
